Instructions for Regular Programs
- Read the instructions carefully.
- When you are filling out the application form, be sure to complete it accurately and honestly.
- Before you start filling out the application form, gather all of the required documents. This may include your transcript, letters of recommendation, and other supporting materials.
- Scan or photograph your documents. This will make it easy to upload them to the online application.
- Label your documents clearly. This will help the admissions committee easily find the documents they need.
- Upload scanned copies of the following documents in one PDF file except for concept note and sponsorship letter:
- TRANSCRIPT/CADEMIC RECORD of Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree for Master and PhD programs respectively
- AUTHENTICATED copy of your DIPLOMA
- First Degree holders from Universities other than Haramaya University must present a copy of GCE Result or West African Schools Certificate of Oxford Examination or any other accredited High School Examination Result Paper.
- Recommendation letter (Recommendation letters preferably be mailed directly by your referees)
- Concept note using PDF format
- A Bank Receipt of 200 Birr for Application Fee, deposited to Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Haramaya University Account Number 1000093271557
- Please use pdf merging tools like PDFCOMBINE (Link Address: https://www.pdfcombine.net/how-to-combine-pdf.html) in order to merge all of your documents in to one pdf file.

- Read the instructions carefully.

- Before you start filling out the application form, gather all of the required documents. This may include your transcript, letters of recommendation, and other supporting materials.
- Scan or photograph your documents. This will make it easy to upload them to the online application.
- Label your documents clearly. This will help the admissions committee easily find the documents they need.
- Upload scanned copies of the following documents in one PDF file except for concept note and sponsorship letter:
- Undergraduate Degree Document
- Student Copy
- Recommendation letter (Recommendation letters preferably be mailed directly by your referees)
- Bank receipt of 200 ETB as an application fee to be deposited to Haramaya University via Acc/No.1000093271557, Haramaya Branch, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.
- The payment for the course work of postgraduate study (M.Sc/M.A.):
- 700 ETB per credit hour and 10% Service Charge for HU Main Campus, Harar Campus, Jigjiga, Chiro Gelemso, Chelenko, Karramile & Dire Dawa Centers.
- Thesis supervision fee is 3,000.00 ETB and thesis examiners fee is 8,500.00 ETB
- The overall tuition fee for 30 credit hours course work, supervision and thesis examiners fees is estimated to 34,600.00 ETB (Thirty four thousand six hundred Birr).
- This cost does not include fees for remedial courses, extra course taken beyond 30 credit hours and research expenses.
